A possible burglary suspect drowned while swimming in the San Rafael Canal after attempting to evade contact with San Rafael police officers Monday night. According to a press release issued by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, police responded to a call at 6:42 p.m. for a possible burglary at a home near Point San Pedro Road and Summit Avenue close to Marin Yacht Clubon.
A single-vehicle collision turned fatal Tuesday morning, said Oceanside Police Department. Around 3:45 a.m., police responded to a crash on SR-76 and Canyon Drive. Officers say they found a driver trapped in a vehicle upon arrival.
