A woman was killed Wednesday night after being hit by two vehicles, one of which left the scene, Folsom police said. The woman was dead in the middle of the road by the time officers arrived on scene, police said. The crash happened around 7 p.m. at Greenback Lane, just east of Main Avenue, police said. The woman was hit by one vehicle, which stayed at the scene after the crash. Police said a truck also hit the woman, but the driver left the scene
Citrus Heights officers began investigating a shooting Wednesday near a home on San Simeon Drive. Just before 7:30 p.m., a victim sustained multiple, non-life threatening gunshot wounds in a neighborhood near Mariposa Avenue. The identity of the victim has not been reported.
Oakland Police Department says at least one person is dead after an afternoon shooting Wednesday at 45th and Market streets.
