Sacramento police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead early Thursday morning. Someone called 911 just after 5 a.m. to report gunshots in the area of Muirfield Way and 68th Avenue, near Rosa Parks Middle School. Officers found a man suffering gunshot wounds. First responders tried life-saving measures to help the man, but he died in the way to the hospital, police said.
