A man had to drive himself to the hospital after he was apparently struck by a bullet that apparently was not meant for him, just east of downtown San Diego, police said Sunday. The 48-year-old man had parked his car around 10:45 p.m. Saturday near the corner of 11th Avenue and E Street, and was walking away when he saw two people arguing, then heard two gunshots, San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims said.
Salinas police say a man was shot and killed in Salinas Sunday. The shooting happened at the intersection of Arthur and Eisenhower Streets. Detectives were called to the scene at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon after receiving reports of shots fired in the area.

A man was fatally shot in North Hollywood Saturday evening and the suspected gunman is being questioned by police but not arrested, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A call about a shooting in the 6000 block of Lankershim Boulevard came in just before 6 p.m., an LAPD officer said.
