The two vehicles crashed at the intersection of Otay Lakes Road and Hunte Parkway around 12:30 a.m. A woman in her 30s was pronounced dead at Scripps Mercy Hospital, Chula Vista police Lt. Foxx said.

Two days after a woman was found dead inside her south Land Park home, police identified the man suspected of killing her as 59-year-old Mark Long. The victim was identified as 61-year-old Susan Roberts by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

A man suspected of using a hammer to kill another man in the Midway District was arrested Monday night, said San Diego police. Authorities received a call around 6:15 p.m., for a body found lying in the lanes near the McDonald's on Midway Drive, San Diego police lieutenant Mike Holden said. Bystanders were attempting to perform first aid on the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
