Authorities Thursday asked the public for help in identifying a driver who fled following a North County traffic accident that left a pedestrian severely injured. The victim, a delivery driver, was walking in a parking lot outside a pharmacy in the 1500 block of West Valley Parkway in Escondido about 8:45 a.m. last Thursday when he was struck by a blue two-door Ford Focus hatchback or similar vehicle, according to police.
Santa Fe Springs Double Shooting Leaves Man Dead in Bentley, 2nd Man in Serious Condition
A man was found shot to death in the passenger seat of a Bentley convertible, while the driver was hospitalized in Santa Fe Springs Thursday night. Authorities found the victim in the 9800 block of John Street. The million-dollar vehicle had its airbags deployed when the victim was found in the industrial area.

Man killed, another hospitalized after shooting in Santa Fe Springs
Officials say the suspects may have used a long rifle or a handgun, fleeing northbound on San Pablo. The three victims, men in their 20s, were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive
A man was shot in front of a 7-Eleven in North Hollywood following an argument, police and witnesses said. Witnesses said after the shooting the victim was crawling on his stomach in the parking lot of the shopping center and leaving a trail of blood. But police described his injuries as not life-threatening. The shooting happened around 7:45 p.m. in front of the store on Oxnard Street near Laurel Canyon Boulevard.
