Four pit bulls apparently got into a neighbor’s yard and killed as many as seven other dogs Saturday, an animal services officials said. All of the pit bulls were turned over to animal services and euthanized after the incident. It happened at about 10:45 a.m. in San Diego’s Skyline neighborhood, according to Dan DeSousa of San Diego County Animal Services.

Deputies are probing the circumstances after a young boy was shot and killed in Compton. Officials were called to the scene at 2800 West Alondra Boulevard around 7:45 p.m., according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The body of a 28-year-old California woman, missing since savage mudslides hit nearly two weeks ago, was found Saturday, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's office said. Long Beach police shot and wounded a person riding a bike who they deemed suspicious on Saturday evening, officers said. Officers first noticed the suspicious subject on a bike around 6 p.m. near the intersection of Burnett Street and Santa Fe Avenue on the city’s west side, according to Sgt. Brad Johnson, a public information officer for the Long Beach Police Department.
California police say a 3-year-old boy has died after a shooting at a Compton liquor store. Sheriff's deputies received a call about the shooting around 7:45 p.m. local time. The child's parents drove to a parking lot in nearby Carson, where deputies found the baby.

Beverly Hills police are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday in a residential neighborhood of the city that may stem from a road rage incident, officials said. The shooting occurred shortly after 5 p.m. in the 100 block of North Palm Drive near Wilshire Boulevard, said Lt. Scott Dowling.
