Incident Final: the buildings on fire near 5th Street and 1st Ave have been contained and mostly extinguished. These buildings are part of the old property operated by the California Shell Fish Co. these buildings have been abandoned for several years
The incident began around 1:40pm. 2-alarms of equipment to extinguish. 1 firefighter transported with a minor injury. The incident is under investigation. Firefighters will remain on scene for most of the night to ensure full extinguishment
