3 years ago MosquitoFire - Biggest obstacle on the N/E side is the North Fork of Middle Fork American River. That is steep, rocky & nasty terrain, it's not safe to put people in there, so other options are being looked into near American Hill. Lots of firefighters on the eastern side now
3 years ago MosquitoFire - The entire east edge remains active. From Greekstore to Ramsey Crossing there is some heavy heavy fuels that were not consumed in the American or King fires & that is where a lot of activity occurred today. Measures are being taken to protect the Big Trees Grove
