We were prepared for a busy holiday weekend. Last night at approx 11pm over 200 vehicles took over the intersection of S 10th St and Alma Av and conducted a sideshow. A coordinated response by patrol Officers shut it down. Here is the tally:

MLK/Marlton - 211 GTA. Vehicle taken was a black Mercedes. Suspect armed with gun. LAPD responding code 3

Metro Fire is onscene of a 0.5 acre vegetation fire at a large homeless encampment. Additional resources have been called due to the fire directly threatening the Walerga Rd overpass infrastructure. Sheriffs Deputies requested as well to assist with incident management

There's a heavy law enforcement presence in the area of 37th/Maple in the Historic South Central neighborhood, where Fox 11 is reporting that police shot a man about an hour ago. No details yet on what happened/the reported victim's condition
