Lancaster 911 call reported an unresponsive infant. The parents promptly transported the baby to the hospital, but were intercepted by Lancaster deputies at the intersection of Avenue J8 and Fine Street. Tragically, firefighters pronounced the baby deceased upon arrival. The coroner arrived at 2:30 p.m. to retrieve the baby’s body, which was still on the sidewalk. The circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident are currently unknown and under investigation.
